Hooray! Halloween is finally here! I got the kids costumes done this morning (although I have had them planned in my head for awhile now). Ryan is Wall-E and Jillian is Eve from the movie Wall-E (if you havn't seen the movie, go watch it. It's good!)

We got dressed up for our neighborhood parade. This was Jillian's only time dressing up, as she was sacked out by the time trick-or-treating started. And I figured she wouldn't keep that head/helmet on, but I got at least one good shot, so I'm ok with that.

Without the helmet, everyone thought she was an angel. I'm ok with that, too, but if she was an angel, I'd have made it a better angel. You know, halo, better wings.

The costume was good for snacking on:

Happy Halloween!

Halloween Fun

We have had a good time around our house getting ready for Halloween. Every time I turn around, Ryan is drawing a pumpkin or a ghost and hanging it up with tape somewhere.

Last night for dinner we got creative and had eyeballs and brains (and the leftover eyeballs will be quick meatball subs for tonight!):

Here's the front of the house. Ryan made the bats hanging from the lights and the ghosts at the bottom:

He hung the bat and the spooky pumkin monster on the mirror:

And we made spiders and pumpkins out of egg cartons for the dining room:

My big project today was getting these up in our front windows:

Kind of fun!

Halloween Party

Jillian and I went to Ryan's class party today. The parents and teachers planned lots of fun events.

They decorated pumpkins:

And got their faces painted!

We carved our pumpkins tonight. Ryan is getting more and more into it (and into decorating for Halloween in general) and Jillian dove right in, too!

Ryan took this one of us working:

Getting Quicker + Going Farther + Getting Up = Fenced in

I cannot believe how far Jillian is traveling now.

I have seen her pull up twice in her crib, and Kelly says she is doing it on the window sill at daycare, but mostly she gets to her knees:
Which all leads to this:

Break out the barricades!

Rock Slide

This is just too crazy not to post. Anyone traveling out Route 40 to North Carolina will need to find an alternate route. This happened early Sunday morning. Check out the size of the boulders! It's going to add 2 hours onto any trip we take to see my parents (or they take to see us).

Catching Air

The whole time Jillian was swinging tonight, she had her mouth open. She does this when we open the windows in the car and when you gently blow in her face, too. Scott says she is "catching air."

Helen's Party

Helen's family threw a fun fall party for Helen's birthday! They had lots of fun activities. We pet the horses at her grandparent's house:

And fed them:

And rode the ponies from Shelby Farms. This is Ryan on Cowboy:

And Jillian on Cowboy:

Then there was a hayride:

And dinner and marshmallow roasting around the fire:

Just Jillian

Some more cute shots from our weekend with Nanny & Gramps:

And terrorizing the kitty:

And starting real solid food! Puffs! Working that pincer grip!

Despite the look on her face, she really did enjoy them!

Nanny & Gramps

Hooray! Nanny and Gramps are here! We have had a super time with them...Zoo Boo, two soccer games, a date night, and the park!

I had a lot of fun taking pictures at the parks. It was nice to get some candids of my parents with the kids rather than just posed shots. And the light was very cooperative!

Love this one:
