Bath time!

I like drawing a big bath and getting in the tub with Jillian. I can hold her floating on top of the water which seems soothing and gets her used to it. But that uses a lot of water and takes a lot of time (not to mention you will not find pictures of that on this blog!), so I have finally pulled out the baby tub that was Ryan's. I used it for Jillian today.

Everyone says I look like my Daddy...

...what do you think? And not just the receding hairline, people!

Not just playing dress up

A few people have commented that I seem to be enjoying playing dress up with Jillian. I am, but my excitement is more about her being able to wear some of these cute outfits (1) because she is getting bigger, and (2) because it is getting warmer.

My family also likes seeing new pictures, so showing off new outfits is a great way for me to get some different shots of her for them. Like this one, which, by the way, is from my friend Sarah and is super cute!

What daddy missed today

We are keeping busy while Scott's away on business (but we are very happy he returns tomorrow!). Today Ryan didn't have school because it was cconference day! So, instead, all three of us went down to St. George's to meet with his teachers. He's doing great. and totally ready for Junior Kindegarten next fall!

Next, it was out for a picnic playdate at the park with Ryan's friend from soccer, Jared.

Finally, tonight, the women (and children) from Absolute Storage Management (ASM) who have been holding down the fort (either at the office, or in the homes, or both in Barb's case) while the guys are on their trip, all went out for dinner tonight, A very nice time that will hopefully become a tradition!

Travel safe guys!

If you plant it...

...it will grow!

and peas

are starting to come up!

What Daddy's missing

Well, there was dinner with Heidi and Aiden at Red Robin last night. Ryan and I shared a chocolate milkshake:

Today, all three of us went to see Disney's Earth:

This evening, we walked to the park. The elementary school now has a locked fence around it, so we hoofed it all the way to the one in the back of the neighborhood. Jillian had her first slide with her big brother.

Then, she sat on the swing with me.

So, we miss you Daddy, but we're doing ok!

From the Weekend

Something else we tried last weekend: taking the training wheels off of Ryan's bike. We didn't do it for long because it was getting dark, but Scott rode him around in the grass for a bit.

A photo with no flash, but not enough natural light (I said it was getting dark):

A photo with a flash that makes it look darker than it really is:

Oh, what the heck, when the light doesn't agree, just take a video:

By the way, those little noises in the background are Jillian, not me. :)

Another Day, Another Outfit

Can I just take a moment to thank everyone who has given us all the adorable outfits we have been dressing Jillian in? I'm having so much fun dressing her up!

Going for a Walk

Jillian and I went for a great walk this morning...check that, I went for a great walk and Jillian had a great nap.

Check out the cute hat Cory's mom sent. I am pretty sure she made it. It's great because it's big (goes down further over her ears) and it's made of stretchy year, so it should last awhile!

Lady In Red

Couldn't resist taking pictures of Jillian in this outfit from the Foley's. We all love red in our house, so this one is a big hit!

And some blurry attempts at capturing her smile:

Garden Boys

The boys have been working for a few weeks to get the garden ready for planting. It was full of old plants (mint that will not go away), grass, and weeds.

As of Saturday, it is now full of brocoli, cabbage, and seeds for peas, green beans, beets, carrots, cantalope, and pumpkins.

We will also put in some tomato plants and a cucumber once it gets a bit warmer (or more consistently warm).

It's our most ambitious garden ever. Wish us luck!

Happy Easter!

We had a delightful Easter morning! Ryan was very happy with what the Easter Bunny left in his basket (Bolt and some treats) and he was excited that he caught the Easter Bunny's footprint!

I was happy to get both kids dressed up and to church on time!

Afterwards, the youth group hosted an egg hunt for the kids:

Back at home, we hunted eggs outside:

And even Jillian found one (while she was asleep!):

Happy Easter!

One Month Old!

Ryan's been practicing for a few weeks now, and Scott is an assistant coach. I love watching both of them out there.

From the first game:

(I didn't go, and Scott was helping, so not too many pictures)

And today's:

By the way, they are the Rockets. Just in case anyone was wondering.

Dying Eggs

We finally dyed eggs tonight. Ryan really got into it this year, and I tried to just stand back and let him do it how he wanted (even if dipping the egg in yellow and then purple will make an ugly egg.).

Thanks for Jillian's bunny ears, Carrie!

First Dress

Ryan wanted Jillian dressed up for the Easter Egg Hunt, and it was warm enough, so she wore her first dress today. Thanks Mark & Shelby for the dress and Kirsten for the adorable socks!

Easter Egg Hunt

Ryan had an Easter Egg Hunt at school today! The Pre-K classes paired up with the 1st graders who hid the eggs and then helped them find them. Here's Ryan and his partner, JP:

Check back for an image of his whole class. My batteries died before I could get it, so I'm hoping another mom will send me one!
